I have sold a firearm to Mr X who lives in the same state, Florida.
He wants me to send it to his home address, Mr X will supply a copy of his drivers license and Concealed Weapons Permit.
Is this legal? Or do I still have to send it to an FFL.
We are in Florida.
Thanks for your time.

Even if it were legal, would you want to be the one answering the door and accused of supplying a murder weapon? I don’t think that you should sell the firearm without the person’s physical presence. Maybe you could ship it to a licensed dealer near Mr. X’s house, who would complete the paperwork for you. There is something wrong with the transaction if the guy won’t do something like that to prove ID.
Only if you are a registered dealer.
Do yourself a favor and send it to an FFL!!! Copies of this documents can be altered, and you’d be the one in trouble for it. i’m sure the guy is ok, but you should cover you’re butt in this situation.
It will be worth the cost of going through an FFL to broker the deal…the proper background check is done. Although not required, if anything ever goes wrong – you’re in the clear.
