My older bro got arrested last night at around 1:30am he is 18 n this is his first time getting in trouble since he’s been 18 be4 he turned 18 he served 8 months are having a .22 revolver while being on probation. He had got it from a friend…… Well about last night. How long do you think someone can be arrested for in the state of California for having a .45ACP here is his charges

Which firearm should I purchase out of the two?

Okay, here’s my dilemma. I have paid for my conceal carry license and bought this nice 0 leather conceal carry jacket and now have the money to buy the smith&wesson bodyguard .38 special revolver that I feel fulfills my needs in a conceal carry firearm, especially in size and weight. Well, now that I have the opportunity to finally get it, I’m wondering if I should get the Taurus ultralite .44 magnum instead (which I also really like) for my open carry gun while I hunt in grizzly bear inhabited forests, and could also use it for home defense with .44 specials. I love both these guns and intend on owning both eventually. I feel like I have more chances into running into wolves, cougars, or grizzly’s while hunting with my 30-06 rifle than having someone attack me in public, but I already have put a lot of money towards my conceal carry permit and jacket. Which firearm do you think I should go for first? I have it down to both of these because they are in my price range and like them both, and have their own special purposes. What kind of handgun should I get?

I’m away from home right now, but when I get back I plan on getting a pistol. I’m not too knowledgeable on the subject of firearms (other than the ones I’ve had experience with, most of which I don’t believe you can own legally). Right now the only gun I own is an oooold 22 that has been in my family for almost a century.

The [2] main qualities that I am looking for are: easily concealable and low recoil

Reason being that I also plan on getting a concealed carrier license, as well as something that won’t knock my wife on her backside when/if she has to use it.

Shooter – Looks pretty good. One of the guys here with me has a Springfield 45. He swears by it. Any other ideas just for the sake of looking.

Mooned – Thanks for the input, but I forgot to mention that I’m not too interested in a revolver.
I’m in the military, so the weapons I have most experience with are 240Bs, 249s, 50 cal, that sort of thing… Not the most practical weapons for self defense (stateside anyway) although it might be fun.
That fn five seven looks like a little beast (and you’re right, the rounds do look like baby 5.56s) However, although it’s not out of my price range, I’ve told myself that I don’t want to spend more than 6 or 7 hundred.

Is it legal to sell firearms at a Garage Sale?

This one I went to today had 2 22LR Rifles and a Huge 44 Mag Revolver for sale. The house was way out in the Ohio Country. Just curious if they could get in trouble. Thanks.

What are the inter-state laws regarding a loaded firearm in a rv?

I am going to be going across the country with my family in a Rv for the next few months.I no longer own any land as I sold it all for a large lump sum. So We will be living in the Rv, Making it our home. Since it will be our house can I treat it like my old one and keep a loaded revolver in a draw next to the main bed? I have a Maine concealed carry license for what its worth(useless unless in Maine)
And if I may ask a second question, What are the laws against transporting firearms across the country? Except for the revolver, They will all be in a fireproof concealed gunsafe under the rv in a storage strong box. Im not going to keep them all with us, Our first stop aside from theme parks and the like will be in Wisconsin where I have family Ill be leaving the firearms with. Its just getting them there I need to think about. I wont be going into California, New York, Maryland, Or Rhode Island at any time I have firearms. I prefer good states. That goes for both questions.-S
Note, The rv will legally be my home. So I should have all the rights I would have with a normal home I’d think.

What exactly does a concealed firearms permit mean?

Im asking because here in washington state one can get a concealed. But it takes a little longer. I want to go to drive with my own pistol to the range.As soon as I get the firearms permit and revolver. Wont this be considered concealed if I’m driving around with it in my truck?

Traveling from Florida to Connecticut by vehicle?

I will be traveling from FL to CT by vehicle (95 north) by myself I posses both a valid Connecticut pistol and revolver permit and a Non-resident Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm license. I will carry my Glock 23 and my Ruger LCP. I know do to the reciprocity agreement between Florida and the other states in my travel I’ll be fine in these states (GA, SC, NC, VA, DE, and PA.) What I am worried about is the states that don’t recipritatee i.e NJ MD and NY. I know by federal law that it’s legal for me to have them in my vehicle as long as the pistols are locked in a case unloaded and the ammo is in a separated storage container, should I be worried if I’m stopped by an LEO in a non-reciprocity state?
The vehicle is a small SUV, so I have a problem.
Im saying they will be in a lock box, then Ill be completely fine, right?

How can I find out if a firearm is stolen?

Someone I know has a revolver for sale which they purchased from someone who had purchased it at a gun show. They did not go through a dealer, but was "told" the revolver was legal, and not stolen. I intend to do a legal transfer through an FFL Dealer, but I want to make sure the revolver isn’t stolen before proceeding with a transfer. Usually, the seller isn’t scrutinized like the buyer, unless the firearm is stolen. I’d just rather not open up a can of worms for the seller, since he bought it in good faith, I’m just looking to score on a good price.

if anyone can tell me if i am breaking any laws by carrying my gun in my (outside) hip holster(open carry) with a loaded magazine WITH-OUT(not loaded) a bullet in the camber when i am traveling in my car. IS THAT DEFINED AS "IN PLAIN VIEW"?
