As a juvenile, I was charged with assault in the 4th degree. It was a misdemeanor charge. I plead guilty, and a part of the plea bargain told me that I gave up my rights to possess a firearm for life, unless I decide to take it back to court. I was 13 at the time of the charge, and I will be turning 23 years old this year.
I had my record expunged.
I went to purchase a pistol, and I explained to the gun store that I lost my right to own a firearm, and that I have an expunged record, and they said it would come up on the background report if I’m ineligible. Well, nothing came back, and I got my pistol.
I even applied for my CPL (Concealed Pistol License) and explained the same thing to the police department. They said if it’s expunged, then I don’t have a record. They did the fingerprint check, and nothing came up at all. They explained that even though I had my right taken away, that considering how my record is expunged, they can’t access the info, and they granted me my license.
I even called the FBI, and they told me the same story.
Basically, my question is, did having my juvenile record expunged restore my rights? No one gave me a clear answer. They just said that I’m NOT ineligible to own a pistol or a license to carry one.Q

Are you always this stupid, or are you making a special exception today? Maybe you just flunked out of school because you have no reading comprehension. I don’t know, and you probably don’t either, judging by how you type and the nonsense you spew out.
I was convicted of a felony? Really? When did that happen?
