i will be purchasing a 0 firearm online. i would like to have an outside estimate from someone else. I have a grand total of 0. thats the cost of the firearm, 3% charge for using Credit Card, and FFL transfer. i live in ohio so add sales tax if i need it.
will use Credit card because i dont trust money orders.

I am an Arizona resident and my dad is a California resident. He can legally buy a firearm. Can I sell him my firearm or do I have to do a formal transfer of firearm? If I can’t, then why not? Is there a specific law that prohibits private sales from a resident in AZ to a resident in CA?

Private sale of a firearm Savage 64f (22 autoloader)?

I want to sell my Savage 64f. It was primarily used by my child the past two years, and quite frankly he beat the crap out of it. Somebody wants to give me 0 for it and who am I to pass such deal up? It probably is worth because of the condition and the kid wants a 22 bolt action 22. He can have the proceeds from the sale of the Marlin, but has to come up with the rest. Hopefully he will take better care of the next one.
I’m not an FFL. I have no means of performing a background check. I can check to see the buyer is over 18. I can verify his address and retain a bill of sale. Is there anything he or I has to do in a private sale? I wouldn’t want the libs getting their panties in a bunch over a 10 round autoloader that’s… OMG!!! black… all black… maybe I should turn it in and call it an assault rifle?

This is my proposal: any school, university, church, or other organization that believes that one of its students or members is mentally unsound should forward that person’s name to the government so it can be put in the background check database. Those people will not be denied gun sales, but they must produce a signature from a doctor or psychologist saying that they are stable and can own a firearm responsibly.

Why is it that people think Glock is a police weapon?

Every time I hear someone talking about guns, who does not have a good working knowledge of guns, they talk about the "Glock" as being a Law Enforcement only weapon. Glock is a manufacturer of an inexpensive hand gun. There are no external safeties on a Glock, and sales are common place to individuals. It is not a police only weapon, but rather a simple to use everyday firearm. It seems to me that television, movies, and the media (news) have caused this mis-information to spread. That’s my opinion.

I am not disputing a lot of departments use Glock. I know of the working mechanisms inside the Glock. I am not bad-mouthing the Glock, I own one. I am refering to the number of posts on YA where people call Glocks "Police Issue" when in reality they can be bought at any gun shop. Sorry for any confusion in the question.

Obama’s Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don’t fully comply.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver’s License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update – change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs – Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come into (your home anytime) and inspect that you are storing your gun safely.

I will be buying my weapon Private Sale. I have researched Ranges and everything. I may pick up a good Glock or Beterra (or Ruger, really whatever is there) as my first weapon before i begin taking instruction on how to shoot – safety, technique, proficiency.

I would like to know what records must be made and kept in a Private Same transaction. I DO have my State ID, and one of these days i will have the cash t make my investment in my rights, i.e. the 2nd Amendment.

I live in Ohio.

I live In Midland Tx, and I posses a Hunting Rifle (Winchester 30-30, lever action). I’ve taken it to a few Pawn Shops but they offer much less than I want. I paid 0 for it less than a year ago and it’s still in same condition (good). I would like to try to sale the rifle to someone willing to pay more tha Pawn Shops or else I’ll just keep it. Can I post an advertisement on Craig’s List to sale this rifle or will that violate and type of law? If someone makes an offer I like what do I do to make the sale legal? Paperwork? Receipts?

Selling a personal firearm when not a licensed dealer?

If you have a one-time sale of a personal firearm, are you allowed to post classified ads in newspaper or on internet sales services?

Must these be focused on home state? Or is nationwide bidding allowed?

Any special requirement for shipping? Records?

I have never sold a firearm before and I am not familiar with current national and state laws (the latter may vary from one state to another is all I know for sure).

So how old do you need to be to open carry and concealed carry a pistol or long gun. And what about a SBB (short barreled shotgun, or sawed-offed shotgun)
