Firearms Collectors Permit in New York State?

Does anyone know if federal or New York state law allows for a permit for the possession of firearms which are normally considered prohibited, if they can be considered historical artifacts? Example: Fully automatic weapons are prohibited except to law enforcement & military; can someone own a WWI or WWII machine gun in full working order, based on historical significance?

I am working on getting my FFL license?

if you have your FFL could you be kind enough to explain a few things to me. I am wanting to start off selling online and from my home and eventually buy my own store. I have been reading on a paid website called FFLkit.com but I am still a bit confused on a few things such as, a firearm storage certificate? finger print card? and acquisition & disposition (A&D) reports?
also just out of curiosity what is the general mark up cost on firearms if bought at wholesale?

Which firearm should I purchase out of the two?

Okay, here’s my dilemma. I have paid for my conceal carry license and bought this nice 0 leather conceal carry jacket and now have the money to buy the smith&wesson bodyguard .38 special revolver that I feel fulfills my needs in a conceal carry firearm, especially in size and weight. Well, now that I have the opportunity to finally get it, I’m wondering if I should get the Taurus ultralite .44 magnum instead (which I also really like) for my open carry gun while I hunt in grizzly bear inhabited forests, and could also use it for home defense with .44 specials. I love both these guns and intend on owning both eventually. I feel like I have more chances into running into wolves, cougars, or grizzly’s while hunting with my 30-06 rifle than having someone attack me in public, but I already have put a lot of money towards my conceal carry permit and jacket. Which firearm do you think I should go for first? I have it down to both of these because they are in my price range and like them both, and have their own special purposes. Thanks for helping me with this decision.

Any FFL holders in Iowa who could help me?

I’m looking to buy an RPK from J&G guns online, and so far no place in town that HAS an FFL (scheels, pawn shops) will do business with me on this, since the only place that will, only does it for deer rifles or shotguns. Now i’ve had an SKS before, and have behaved responsibly for many years with firearms, and in fact am currently in paperwork with the BATFE to get a Type 50 explosives manufacturer license (legal hobbyist) and have a spotless criminal record (including driving!) and even coach an after-school program, so between being a good-intentioned guy and having the BATFE already allowed to conduct random visits for my explosives license, i think i can assure you pretty well that you’d be safe selling me a "scary" gun like an RPK. No criminal record of anyone in my household either.

So do you think i could find somebody in Iowa with an FFL who actually WOULD let me pay them a good fee to let me purchase through them, cash up front? How much should i expect to pay them?
Oh and i put this in hunting because i plan on using this for backyard hunting (i live in rural iowa where i have a safe area of privately owned woods to shoot in) as well as the hunting guys always seeming to have better gun answers. Obama’s Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don’t fully comply.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver’s License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update – change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs – Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come into (your home anytime) and inspect that you are storing your gun safely.

Hi do I need a gun license if I want to buy a antique Pocket Watch Pistol?

Hi I want to buy a self defense item that I could carry with me in the street & I do ride my bicycle for a temporary transportation because I can’t afford a used car at this moment. I did got mug last year summer & I do not want to happen again & I regret not having nothing.I live in L.A. & I have no bad record & I’m a college student. I did though enrolling Krav Maga class but is super expensive & plus I have small body & short to take Krav Maga. Sorry anyway, I did though buying this cool antique Pocket Watch Pistol but do I need a gun license. Or should I buy a Stun Gun instead? Thank you officers.
