I am a NYC resident and considering purchasing a handgun to keep in my home. I read that it costs 0/year for a handgun license, which I am unable to afford.
Is the license requirement enforceable since the Supreme Court issued its landmark 2nd amendment ruling last month? What happens if I buy a gun in New Hampshire and don’t tell anybody?

Eventually I think it’ll fall, but the time is not ripe for a test case. It’s just a guess, of course, but my prediction is that "may issue" statutes will fall first, and excessive fees will be addressed at a local level, mostly later.
It is 100% legal. The ruling never applied to license fees. Keeping an unlicensed gun in NY is a felony.
