Because Yahoo Answers in English mixes all English-speaking peoples together, I have made a few friends who are Indian gun owners. They frequent a website gun forum just for India….and I am sure they can give you some accurate, up to date info on what’s legal and available.
I know there are some large gun dealers in the big cities and they too can help with what your license allows as well as sell you the gun. Importing arms, in any country, is a difficult and sometimes costly proposition, so why not look there for something that suits you? Good luck and be safe.
The .327 Magnum SP 101 Ruger is the ticket.
Beretta used to make a really nice copy of the Model 84 but in .32 acp. This is a wide-grip, fairly heavy .32 with a 4" barrel. Beretta may still offer this one overseas (I’m in the USA).
Beretta still makes the Beretta Model 3032 Tomcat in .32 acp, a nice pocket pistol but it only has a 2" barrel.
Other than that you might find a used .32 Long Smith & Wesson revolver or the Ruger the previous poster listed (although I’m not sure that comes in a 4" barrel; it might).
I don’t know about how to export/import into India. Sorry.
Good luck.

The Ruger SP101 is chambered in the .32 Magnum, it is a snubby gun with a two or three inch barrel.

The above link is to Taurus and its Millennium .32acp gun.
Since .38 and 9mm are prohibitted, what about .40 cal. or 10mm. Taurus offers these powerful handguns as well.

This link will explain exporting guns from the USA and lists a company that will do so.
Good luck with this. . .
