OK, I’ve been looking on proguns.com and found an AR15 rifle that I would like to purchase, but It says I need a Federal Firearms License to buy it. I looked all over google how to apply for a license, but all I find are kits to become FFL DEALER. All I want is to purchase this ONE rifle. can anyone help me here?

Go to a gun store that allows you to use their FFL. There is usually a FFL fee involved that is normally about $25. The gun will ship there and you can pick it up from there. Depending on the dealer will depend on how smoothly it goes.
You will pay proguns.com for the rifle, but you also pay the FFL holder a FFL fee for them to allow you to use their license.
Its a lot easier to by and AR-15 in semi automatic than a full auto version….BTW why do you want a full auto? the process for an FFL is very difficult and involves lots of background checks plus its expensive
go to your local gun dealer and tell them that you want to have a gun ordered through them, then they will give you the info on their FLL and then you order the gun and it will be shipped to your local dealer where you can go pick it up. they act as the middle man and shouldnt charge you anything. if you live around utah see getsome.com, they are really easy to work with but whoever is local and sells guns should have an FLL license. if you are buying just one the license will cost more than the gun and be much more hassle.
If you are trolling this idea on yahoo… you probably dont have the $7-10,000 bucks needed to purchase a M16 with the happy button.
The BATF requires a tax of in the neigborhood of $300 to obtain a "Class 3" stamp so you can posess a full auto weapon… plus the background check and an okie-dokie from you County Sherrif
you can arrange with a gunstore or FFL Dealer to get the gun for you. Go to a local FFL Dealer and tell them what you want. Most of the time they can find what your looking for, or you order it and it ships to them.
Its fairly easy to buy a semi auto AR-15 as long as your 18 just go to your local gun dealer and fill out the paper work.
Unless you’ve been in trouble with the law, then your screwed and honestly shouldn’t have it anyways.
You get your local gun shop owner to buy it or accept the gun and you pay for it. Ck with him or her if they will do the transfer for you. If they will not do it …go somewhere else….or ck here for FFL.

First of all an AR15 is not an Assault rifle. It is a Semi-auto clone or Civilian version of the Military’s M4/M16 assault rifle. There is a slight difference in price, an AR15 will run 700.00-2,500.00 while an M16 will run 7,000-10,000 each.
Now what I think is going on is you’re looking to buy an AR15 rifle over the internet. This could be through a dealer or a private sell. If this is correct, the seller can only ship to a FFL. This doesn’t mean you have to be a dealer. It means you need to find a local FFL dealer that is willing to do the transfer for you. All you do is ask a local FFL dealer if you can have a firearm shipped to him…most will say yes and will either fax a copy of their FFL Lic to your seller or give you a copy to mail with a payment.
Then the seller will then ship the said firearm to the address on the FFL lic. Once your dealer receivers the firearm you will need to fill out a 4473 form (back ground check) and pay the fee. This fee is usually around 20.00-50.00 each transfer. This is all based on if you paid the sellers asking price on the rifle before hand.
It’s not an "assault rifle". That’s not even a term the military uses. It’s a media term to try and demonize these weapons. If your buying one all you need is go to the store and fill out the proper paperwork and wait for the phone call back round check to clear and your done.
Buying online is different. See what they mean by having an FFL means it must be shipped to an FFL holder. You have to have it shipped to a gun store, you cannot have the gun shipped straight to you house. When you buy a gun or ammo online you usually have to give a shipping and billing address. When buying a gun the shipping address needs to be the gun store. Be sure to get the FFL permission first to have it shipped to them. And when you buy it online be sure that you have the FFL fax a copy of the FFL to the seller as confirmation or they won’t ship it.
ok 1st off there is NO SUCH THING as an AR-15 Assault Rifle. If you want to buy an AR-15 go to a gun shop and order one.
The seller has to ship the rifle to a FFL license holder that will transfer the rifle to you. You don’t need the license. Now what you are most likely talking about is a AR-15 Semi-Auto Rifle not an "Assault Rifle". An assault rifle has burst or full auto capabilities and would cost you around 10k.
I wouldn’t deal with Proguns.com just because of their terminology. Try ar15sales.com (Pete is a great guy and has great prices).

Do a little research at places like m4carbine.net first before you buy.
Remember what Pat Rogers said, "Buy Cheap, Buy Twice"
Question to those of you saying it isn’t an ‘assault rifle’. What else does the AR stand for if not to classify it as Assault Rifle version/model 15?
The “AR” in AR-15 stands for Armalite model 15………….. look it up
