Are there any laws regulating this? I want to sell my handgun to get a more expensive one, and I don’t want to use an online auction. I know private handgun sales are legal in Virginia, but are there any laws or regulations for private handgun sales in VA? Thank you!

The person you sell it to must be 21 years old.
For your own future protection- you may want to make a bill of sale and list the buyers ID info.
I would contact your local police department.
Not if the person is of legal age and clean record and sound mind.
i’m pretty sure you have to do it through an FFL dealer still. i could be wrong though.
