Hunting, shooting and target practise are some of the most popular pastimes in the USA, but make that you learn all about the rules and regulations regarding firearms and their safe use.

To get an FFL at todays terms, you have to pass the background ckeck, have a physical place for the business which is licensed, insured, and meet all municipal code requirements. You must also have security for the arms to be stored at your place of business, like a safe, or room with a steel door. The days of the home FFL dealer is long past, I believe since the late 1980′s. BATF’s requirements are as tight as they are today, because they are doing their best to discourage people from going into the firearms business. My advise to you, if you cannot meet the requirements I have outlined to you, then FORGET about it. You need a starting capital of at least $25- $30 grand, which includes rent, utilities, stock, and also money to tide you over for a couple of months.Contrary to what some people say, you are NOT going to get rich in the gun business anytime soon.
The days of running a small FFL guns business from home are long over my friend.
Unless you have a dedicated business that is legitimate and open at least 5 days a week for 8 hours – you are out of luck. If you look at the FFL application – you need to list the selling address and days it is open for business.
You may be able to team up with a local outdoor store or hardware store that does not have a FFL and open a gun section. That is the easiest way to do this.
Hope this helps
