Im an 18 year old female and I have a sex offender living on my street and his risk level is high. I always see him driving around and always outside, i just have a bad feeling about him. Also if i move into an apartment alone i just feel safer with a gun.
my father has guns (shotgun,9mm)
I was just wonder how old to you have to be to get the license and if Im to young what rights to i have just in case (i know this is rare)but i have to use it.
Thanks!

You must be at least 21 years of age.
A person who is at least 18 years of age but not yet 21 years of age is eligible for a license to carry a concealed handgun if the person: (1) is a member or veteran of the United States armed forces, including a member or veteran of the reserves or national guard: (2) was discharged under honorable conditions, if discharged from the United States armed forces, reserves, or national guard: and (3) meets the other eligibility requirements of Subsection (a) except for the minimum age required by federal law to purchase a handgun.
Sadly for your first answer nailed it. With that in mind let me give you some advice. When you go to get a permit in a few years, don’t talk about the sec offender on your street, makes it sound like you are planning on assassinating him (not that it’s a bad thing). In the mean time, think about getting pepper spray, not the same thing, but you will be better than nothing.
