I am a male, 25, and living in New York State.
I have had several tickets and two misdemeanors ( one for driving on susp. license ) and ( one for harrassment on an ex-girlfriend by texting and emailing – nothing with any weapons, etc.)
Would I still be able to get a license? I have never done any jail time, except for just 1 night for driving on the suspended license.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your harassment charge falls under the catagories of stalking or domestic viloence, then no you cannot unless the charge is expunged. The traffic issues are not relevant unless there is pattern of substance abuse (alcohol, drugs, etc.) some states consider one DUI a pattern….
You are likely on thin ice when it comes to the question on the 4473 form regarding DV or stalking too. Not a bad idea to ask a LEO or attorney versed in gun laws BEFORE you apply.
Was it a domestic violence misdemeanor? If so its treated the same as a felony. Which means your barred from buying or owning guns. Now if that is the case you may be able to contest it and have your right restored but I’m not familiar with the legalities in it. Plus you can do it only after a certain period of time. Which varies by state. Most are 7 years after conviction but it may be different for you. This is something to ask a law expert.
Well as previously stated if it was any form of domestic violence charge than no. Being if it’s not and it’s only misdemeanor charges than yes (if only not domestic charge for the harassment.)
