when you ordered the firearm, you paid for it. Right now, sales tax is not paid on orders like that. once it gets to your dealer, he charges you for the paperwork and there is no tax on that. However, if you had the dealer order it for you, than when he sells it to you, he has to charge you local sales tax.
shoot safe
i dont think so ask your ffl -gunshop ok tu eddie
If you didn’t pay sales tax in the state in which the gun was purchased, then you legally owe it in WA. However, in most states, there is not a means to collect this. It’s not like the FFL will have to pay sales tax on your gun, so he can’t collect it.
In Oklahoma, this is handled by you declaring how much money you spent online or on mail order when you file your tax return.
Yep.
In theory, you are supposed to pay the tax but many FFLs will not collect it if they know you well. I have bought guns and had them sent to FFLs in both Indiana where I now live and in Texas where I used to live and none collected the tax even though they were supposed to. It is up to the FFL whether he does it or not.
Yes-

Federal Firearms Dealers/State Licensed Firearms Dealers can now be personally held liable for uncollected “Use” tax on firearms transfered from out of state.
If Audited , the dealer would have to pay tax from his pocket.
Actually yes, you are supposed to pay a “use” tax for the gun. Same price as sales tax. Here’s a link:
