my friend says since I already have the safety cert. I dont need to go thru the course to receive a concealed carry permit but my moms bf who is a concealed carry permit instructor says I do? help me please

It doesn’t matter what your friend thinks or not; if your jurisdiction requires you to do so then you have to do it.
All that info will be given to you when filing the paperwork.
And you need to post where are you from; law vary from state to state.

Acording to this link your "authorized course in firearms training given by a certified instructor" can’t have been taken more than a year ago. That’s for a CCW in Minnesota.

So if your course was taken more than a year ago probably you’ll need to take another one. But again you need to ask when filing the paperworks just in case they have new rules.
when you got your safety cert. you met the requirements to get your concealed permit. all you have to do know is go to the courthouse pay the fee, give them your cert. and get your fingerprints done and wait for your concealed to show up in the mail..
