As a class 3 dealer you can have a dealers sample. You need a letter from a law enforcement agency expressing an interest in purchasing a particular make and model of firearm or requesting a demonstration of it. With that letter you can purchase one of that particular model which you can use as a sales sample for demonstrations. It is not your personal gun to use as you wish. If you give up your license, the firearm must be legally transferred or destroyed. Normally, when the agency purchases guns from a class 3 dealer, the guns ship directly from the manufacturer to the agency.
You can get post 86 dealer samples.
class 3 just classifies you as a dealer. You will only be able to get what any dealer in your state can get. I hope you got some extra $$ cause class 3 is not cheap!!
You just need to ask yourself it is worth the extra $3000.00 and the extra ATF rules and regs.
I elected not to.
